Making the Switch

#d169

Hello there,

I hinted about it last week - there's a new blog in town! In fact, I wanted to switch to a new blog address for quite some time. It always felt like cheating a bit since I seldomly posted anything "scrappy" aka scrapbook layouts. Anyway... contrarily to what I initially planned, I am staying with Blogger since it gives me the freedom to customize everything - the most obvious for you will be the slightly increased width and larger images. But see for yourself! Hope to meet you on pixelsandglue.blogspot.com soon :)

Dana xx

PS: If you happen to see this on your news reader, would you mind to update to my new blog feed?

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Hello dearies, how's it going? As for me, I feel a peace of mind today. The ugliest part of term tests is over for the time being, I survived the past week without a functioning kitchen (got new floor tiles), backed up my files for the first time in a year and update the OS, got my ScrapARTsize articles and projects for autumn done (though, amidst the chaos of having the kitchen furniture etc. scattered all over the house, I may or may not had sent some article notes away in a return package to an online retailer...!!) and worked on switching the blog to a new address (hint, hint!)...

ScrapARTzine Summer 2012

So, my plan for today covers just very easy-going things, like reading a bit in the current issue of SAZ which I've barely skimmed so far, having a few scoops of vanilla ice cream in the sun and taking a tour around blog land and leaving you all some long overdue comment love :)

La Contessa

Adler Contessa de Luxe travel typewriter

In one of my last posts, I used a typewriter for the card sentiment and Nina asked in the comments what kind/brand it is. I would love to say it's the one above but that's just not true. The ribbon of my lovely Adler Contessa De Luxe ran out of ink some loooong time ago... I usually use an electric machine from Brother since I'm not used to the huge typewriter keyboard layout and therefore make spelling mistakes quite often. I like that it offers to erase incorrect letters and words with just the push of a button but, on the con side, much of the vintage flair gets lost. Also, let's face it: a grey box with an equally grey keyboard on top doesn't make for a great photo ;-)

How about you? Do you still have a typewriter at home and use it for your projects? In case you like the look but don't have one, don't worry! Someone has converted the characteristic Adler letters into a font
